initial consultation

Our initial consultation provides you with an option to seek advice prior to engaging a solicitor. Having all those initial questions answered will enable you to make an informed decision as to how you proceed.

The initial consultation is for an appointment at the office (or by phone) with a solicitor to assess your matter and provide appropriate advice.

The consultation provides the following:

  • Taking necessary information regarding your matter;
  • Providing preliminary advice regarding:
  • Property distribution and entitlements;
  • Spousal maintenance;
  • Child support and maintenance;
  • Spending time with children;
  • Personal protection orders;
  • De facto relationship issues;
  • Financial agreements;
  • Implementation of orders;
  • Such other family or de facto relationship issues you wish to discuss; and
  • Legal processes and costs.

You will be provided with a Shann Family Lawyers information pack and either our Financial Director or Client Services Manager will discuss financial options with you.

Initial consultation fee: $345 incl GST
